Lobby for NS2 to be released on the Linux platform, http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=104522.
NS2 is an extremely promising project, and if you want to know more, just hit up their blog, here. Or the NS2 feature list here. They are implementing a lot of exciting game elements such as 'dynamic infestation', exciting game physics, advanced lifeforms, etc.
Unknown Worlds have recently just informed their community that they have decided to switch engines, from Source, to their own in-house engine. Now they haven't revealed whether they are using OpenGL or DirectX, but in the short time of releasing this news, 4 people have already asked for a native Linux version.
I think it would be a serious achievement if we were to get this fantastic game on Linux.

NS for Half-life was one of my favorite games on Windows when I used to run it. It would be great if Unknown Worlds Entertainment would be kind enough to create a native Linux version of their new game.
Anyway Max (Technical Director) guy posted this on the 18th

We keep all of our code as platform-independent as possible so a port could be done in the future without too much difficulty.
"
I would guess this means directX is out of the question, or at least it shows they have a very flexible engine.
