EVE Online Linux on Nov. 6th
November 1st, 2007 by CrusaderA reader pointed out this thread at the EVE Online forums which states the Linux client will be released with an update on November 6th:
This update, Revelations 2.3, contains formal support for Mac OS X and Linux. It also includes a few fixes for all platforms. Stay tuned for the release notes.
EVE Online is a space combat/business MMORPG; the client utilizes TransGaming’s Cedega API.

Wake me up when they release a fix for seemingly corrupt admins all playing in the biggest guild in the game.

Their support consists of packaging it with wine.. I guess making sure it works in wine is better than nothing but it’s not exactly a native port.

I refuse to PAY some jerks for the price of admission to play a game that I have to pay for already, when other JUST FINE native linux games already exist without that price of admission..go away cedega!

Can’t tell that it’s not a native game, so I’m happy enough with the ‘port’.
