The game is powered by WeiNGINE, a new engine developed by PlanewalkerGames’ Westley Weimer after years ofexperience with modding the various versions of Bioware‘s Infinity Engine (see Icewind Gate II for one of hismore ambitious projects).

at least according to the FAQ, it’s windows only.

They say they are going to have a linux client.
“Welcome to Planewalker Games! We are the home of The Broken Hourglass, a new CRPG in development for Windows, Macintosh, and Linux computers.”

I’d like to see an ETA. It looks good. I’m almost done will all of the NWN modules. Again. For the 3rd time. Twice now.

I’d really love the linux client, but the FAQ leaves very little hope :/

[q]Q: Which platforms will The Broken Hourglass run on?

A: TBH will run on Windows 2000 and XP, and we expect it to be compatible with future versions of Windows as well as library support allows. Compatibility with Windows 98 and Me will be determined at a later date. We will explore options to make TBH available for Linux and Mac OS X as well.

The game is currently compiled to all three mentioned platforms. There’s always the chance of an unforeseen hurdle coming up which we can’t solve, but thus far the game runs merrily on major distros with mainstream hardware configurations and we’re very optimistic about actually shipping Linux and OSX versions.
