Manifesto Games queries on packaging
June 11th, 2007 by jvmManifesto Games is an independent game distributor that already offers some games for GNU/Linux. According to a recent blog post, Manifesto founder Greg Costikyan is asking about packaging for upcoming releases on GNU/Linux.
We’re planning on getting a bunch of Linux games up soon (and perhaps changing the distribution files for some we already offer), and I thought I’d post here to get people’s opinions.
He goes on to mention .tar.gz, .sh/.run, .package, .deb/.rpm as options. If you have an opinion, or want to check out some indy games on GNU/Linux head to the blog or to the store.
