It's just a shame the preorder campaign was a fake. It isn't possible they could have had the discs made in a week, the time between the campaign finishing and the time when preorders started to ship. Looks like we were all taken for a little ride there.
It would have made sense, instead of making them early and then putting us through a farse of a preorder campaign, to take that time and fix some of the bugs that were in the copy I received.

so ankh is actually a 2006 linux game

didnt play it much yet, though

the game comes packaged as english and german version on cd-rom

it installs fine, and on my notebook (pentium-m 1.7ghz, ati 9600/ desktop 1680x1050, 1gbyte ram, ubuntu dapper) runs fairly well.
after install it uses up about 841mbyte

from playing it a few minutes i must admit though, that there are some missing sound files and at least one scripting error, so patches should be available sometime soon i hope - i need to check for some bug report/patches/update page for it first

i havent played far yet, so i cant give any overall conclusion about stability and i never played it on windows, nor read much about its content so better look elsewhere for other reviews if you want that.

Good News, the first commercial game available for Linux in 2007.

Ballistic is scheduled for the 15th January, but as Ballistic is a vaporware like Duke Nukem Forever, we cannot expect it in 2007
