At least it is my impression that Bioware has anything to do with NWN2.

But seeing how NWN2 could result in 1000 linux users signing up to say "me too", I am impressed at how few are game for Dragon Age. Really shame, 'cuz I think that something might just go "Click" in the minds at Bioware about linux...

...the Bioware thing from the start. I can tell you they only did the linux port for one reason: They woulda gotten their asses sued off if they hadn't. Unlike the BeOS port, which at least got dropped about 3-6 months before the game got released, they kept swearing about OSX and Linux ports all the way up until release day of NWN. If I've learned anything watching the way Bioware has treated their linux fan's it was that we were treated like the slow kids who rode the short bus to school. And I'm not just talking the editor either. There were long-standing issues (go dig through the bioware forums if you really care.), there were a number of times linux patches came out weeks after windows ones (not including the 6mo or year delay before they first relased it, despite the fact that I and many others had already had the game for 6 months (and in my case, had played it, grown bored with it, played with the toolset, decided it didn't support the few things I actually wanted, and tossed it aside). There's probably other stuff too, but judging by their last game (Dragon something or whatever it was called), NwN2 being ported BACK to DirectX, and other things, I really doubt Bioware is someone we'll see on linux again, and quite frankly unless they give us a demo to prove it, you can bet I won't be ponying up any cash to those half-wit Edmontonites (who quoting a friend of mine from there said they were from the posh snooty side of town that wears all the funny hats.)

I bought 2 copies of each NWN game. So that's 6 games for this linux monkey. This game looks decent, but I gotta tell ya that I've committed to stop begging for linux ports. The handicapped stairs are now closed. Sell it on whatever platform you want.

ID Software has supported linux from the start, and lookie, they're building space ships now. How odd. They must have fired marketing.
