Price - Posted by Anonymous -

This game costs way to much
[/q]

How have you determined this? Is it because the graphics aren't as good as some games?

I was concerned about price before I purchased Dominions 2, but I felt that the purchase was justified after I played it and realized just how much time they spent on the game. Sure, I think that they would attract more buyers at a lower price (I think that something around $39.99 would be more appealing to some folks), but I do believe the game is worth its current cost.

No offense intended, but I really feel that there are two major problems with Linux gamers.
a) They are cheapskates, and don't want to buy games to help the business grow.
b) They continue to only expect big-name games with flashy graphics, yet ignore some of the fantastic offerings from smaller companies.

Play the demo and find a walkthrough. If you like strategy games, you'll see exactly what I mean about just why this game is so good. I'm not disputing the fact that the high price turns people off (it almost made me ignore the game until I played the demo with a walkthrough that helped me to understand Dom 2), but I think that you do get what you pay for with Dominions 3. There is so much quality gameplay here that it puts other strategy games to shame.

Dom2 runs very nicely on my laptop (save the dreaded nagot gick fel). It's a fantastic game, way too pricey but so what, my birthday is near.
The menu fonts of the Dom3 demo however look totally blurred on my machine, hope it gets fixed soon.
