Mars, Land of No Mercy 0.1.2
Version 0.1.2 of Mars, Land of No Mercy, a turn-based strategy game that takes places on Mars, has been released. This version has the following new features/changes:
- New graphic engine written from scratch
- New Text system
- OpenGL blit support
- Several bugs fixed
- Improvement in unit movement (now movement does not depend on frame rate)
- Now the game starts in windowed mode and 800×600 resolution

Ignoring the hex vs square grid differences, perhaps they should have built off of the now rather stable Wesnoth engine? Why re-invent the wheel?

From what I’ve seen the graphics are superior to wesnoth, I’ve no idea what the underlying structure is and how it differs, but whatever they’re doing is headed in the right direction.
