This is a windows box with Linux client whe have to download online.
For me it is not a Linux game (is Unreal a Linux game ?)

I am simply grateful for what I can get.

I feel the best option is to express your gratitude for any port at all, and as a side note very gently and respectfully express your mild displeasure at the lack of a Linux installer in the box. For example:

Thank you so much for porting this wonderful looking game to my OS of choice! I’ve rather enjoyed my purchase of both Uplink and Darwinia. I was hoping, however, that you’d manage to include a Linux client “in the box.” But I do really appreciate the effort.

Uh it will also likely have a linux installer on the later CDs once the port is finished. Both darwinia and uplink had CD’s with linux versions on the disc.

Usually, games on Windows get patched so much that they meet the criteria you just defined ; a disc of resource files that you need to download an executable binary to play….. is Unreal a Windows game?
