Serious Sam 2 Linux Client Update
July 14th, 2006 by MarvCroteam have posted news concerning the status of the Serious Sam 2 Linux client and Serious Editor 2 for Linux on their website:
“Linux port of Serious Editor 2 and Serious Sam 2 client is nearing its end. What is left to do is some internal polishing and a few minor issues to resolve.
Here are a few work-in-progress screenshots:

Serious Editor 2 Linux – editor screenshot
As we are currently preoccupied with implementing new features to the Serious Engine 3, the linux port will be finished and shipped as soon as we catch some breath.”

Although I probably won’t use it, seeing them port the editer too is a very nice feature… I haven’t seen a game this complete since… well… Loki.

Of course id makes GTKRadient, so I guess I meant “I haven’t seen a game this complete from a company other than id”…
My hat is off to them as well..

Just finished Serious Sam the second encounter for probably the 4th time (with Linux of course, the reason why I bought it – and 1st encounter also) and was thinking how much I’d like to play the new Serious Sam II. Glad to hear Croteam has not forgotten us :) Thanks!! Hope I can find you guys with your big heads roaming around in some secret room in SS2, perhaps you should give yourselves weapons next time though ;)
