Ryan Gordon TWiT.tv Audio Interview
June 16th, 2006 by TimeDoctorLeo Laporte and Chris DiBona interviewed Ryan “Ryaneee” Gordon on TWiT.tv. The interview covers such topics as icculus.org/quake3, getting started with programming, icculus.org, the recent port of Google Earth, and much more. I’d suggest everyone listen to this as it features my favorite Ryan quote ever:
“I don’t want to have to boot into Windows to make the world a better place.”
Ryan’s also updated his .plan with some information regarding this interview.

Just got done listening to the (1 hour) interview and it’s definitely worth listening to.
Ryan talks like a mile a minute but he covers a lot of good stuff.

I don’t see how porting more non-free _utility software_ is making the world a better place.

Exellent intervjue. It’s all about the engine then. All major game engines are ported to Linux and that would make a Linux port a lot easier to do. How come we don’t see that many games for Linux? Can sales really be the only reason?
