As the game is virtually uncompilable (needs scons and CEGUI with OpenGL support, almost no distro has the latter) it would be cool if there was a static binary available.

I think “inspired” is the wrong word, here. :-/ Looks like it’s a fun game, but one might as well flat out say it’s a clone w/ additions.
