Savage 2 Release Details
March 28th, 2006 by CrusaderS2 Games has issued apress releaseannouncing that Savage 2: A TorturedSoul will be offered online for free with tutorial, singleplayer practice (vs. an AI player), and LAN multiplayer game mode support. Internet multiplayer and persistent character statistics can then be enabled for $29.99 US.

Yup, looks good. Good graphics, part one had good gameplay. I can’t wait to check this out. They’ve already got my money ;)

Very progressive publishing model. You can do neat things like this when you’re not tied to traditional publishers.
This seems like a very smart move. Bring Savage 2 to a LAN party. Everyone plays the free edition on the LAN and gets hooked. Everyone buys it. For 30 US bucks, they probably would.

The press release says Savage 1 will be online for free too. Will that include the Linux version?

Yes I might should. Not that I have time for beta testing or anything. They might need the money more then I do right now.
