when I got to part where it says they tested doom 3 and ET I started laughing and immediately stopped reading..consider this a large degree of FUD.

Cedega broke from wine a while back, and I’m sure they don’t implement the directX 9 api’s like wine does, i belive they were using directX 8. And with the games, was phoronix using the directX renderers, or opengl? Also what desktop on FC4? To get optimal performance (and a real benchmark of how linux handles native games), shouldn’t they be using a lightweight window manager like FLWM?

I would honestly think that most people use their home-computers for playing games – so why not test against WindowsXP Home Ed.???
