Wine 0.9.5 Released
January 10th, 2006 by MarvA new version of everyone favorite open source implementation of the Windows API, Wine has been released. Changes in this release include:
- A number of MSI fixes.
- More improvements to the IDL compiler.

There has been talk on the wine mailing list of a patch to accelerate with opengl 2-D games. That will give wine an enormous boost when running 2-D games as the color conversion will happen on the fly by the host card and not the X server. We are talking here about 2D (raster not vector) based games. Lets wait and see…

Essentially, you can save just fine, but if you try to load, the list of files have weird names. To fix it: http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?versionId=748 Check the suggestion by Ilya Platonov at the bottom of the page.
