Version 1.0.10 of the Advanced Linux Sound Architecture wasannounced recently; changes to the driver, library, and tools since 1.0.9 canbe found here. ALSA offers drivers and an API for to support a myriad of soundcards.

ok, you have a Soundblaster? whats its the best.. for example.. to play doom3 and view 5.1 movies in linux/ubuntu?
