…who didn’t believe that the 8000 series drivers were going to offer super-awesome performance increases and be the greatest thing since the second coming of sliced bread:

AMD64 3000+ / 6600GT
Doom 3 demo1 @ 1152×864

1.0-7676 = 62.7 fps
1.0-8174 = 63.7 fps

Eat my 1 fps increase, naysayers!

it seems like open source is the only way to really support a product on linux. they change stuff so f’ing much from “stable” (yeah right) release to release. If I was these guys I’d only support vendor kernel releases but even then thats like a 100 different kernels. these guys have my pity.

Nice to finally see the official SLI support (not that I can take advantage of it lol). Also the links to both the 32bit and 64bit README’s don’t seem to be there. Try these instead:
