no linux binary no get my money...I could care less if I ever buy another nwn product from this point on and Ill make sure and tell my friends not to either. ..I've 'already' posted on their forums that I wanted to see a port but its unlikely to have any effect since the game was made non portable from the beginning. They just dont get it, while clearly ID and epic clearly do.

thank you epic/ID for your support and now I snub atari/nwn2.

some other game company will be getting my money.

I've actively discouraged my windows friends and NWN co-players from considering NWN2. I won't be running a another server or building another Persistant World based on NWN2 because of the way they cut out cross platform compatibility. I can honestly say they've probably lost hundreds of sales.
There's been thousands of players on my server over the years. Oh well, their loss.

even on windows. i finally got around to playing my copy on windows about a year after it was released. I got bit by a bug that made me lose hours of game play (game save bug) and I was so furious that i just stoppped playing all together. its a great concept and the number of campaigns (both commercial and free) are staggering. but the game is still buggy. if you play it, make sure you save your game every 10 minutes.

I did post, what, six months ago or something now, but let's be serious here. The NWN2 board mods are openly hostile to Linux, and said what they did only to get people out of the forum. The decision appears to have already been made to write non-portable code for a Windows-only release, and nobody with decision-making power has shown any sign that they are even -aware- of the thread.
