		<description><![CDATA[The nforce package contains an audio and NIC driver. 

The Audio driver is OSS, so if you want to continue using ALSA you can forget about the nvidia driver. 

As for the NIC driver, I have no idea if it&#039;s any faster? I&#039;ve used both and haven&#039;t noticed any performance differencies. Obviously it&#039;s difficult to build and boot a new kernel remotely if you&#039;re using a third party NIC driver and for that reason (less hassle) I stick with the kernels driver.
