Cold War and LGP?

November 14th, 2005 by Crusader

After the release of their demo for Cold War, Mindware Studios’ Patrik Rak made a forum post concerning the Linux retail version’s publishing status:

We are discussing the possibilities of releasing this on Linux with Dreamcatcher and LGP. The Dreamcatcher has rights for other platforms as well, but they might agree to let LGP to publish it for them as a subcontractor. I’ll keep you all posted. IMHO the full Linux version is just a matter of time.

Cold War is a stealth-oriented action title set in the USSR of the 1980′s (screenshots).

I’ll buy if the game is ported. Pretty cool demo. good luck on your negotiations. As far as the publisher goes, it’s hard to see a downside for them. More coverage = more profits. Let’s hope they choose wisely.

Demo was one of the best games I’ve played on Linux. Can’t wait to buy this one. I hope that they work something out with Dreamcatcher soon.
