COR Entertainment has released Alien Arena 2006 (screenshots), a standalone online deathmatch game. Alien Arena 2006 uses COR’s CRX engine, which was built with id Software’s source code releases. Features:

• 25 levels
• 9 characters
• 8 weapons
• 2 vehicles
• 5 gamplay modes (DM, TDM, CTF, All Out Assault, Deathball)
• 5 mutators (instagib, regeneration, vampire, rocket arena, and low grav)
• CRX v4.03 features (reflective water, shaders, light bloom, improved lighting, and optimizations for older systems)
• colored names
• improved console
• in-game server browser
• “Nightmare Bots” patch (adds a fourth skill level to the in-game bots)
