Speaking of, the 20050930 build of Wine, a Windows application compatibility layer, was made available last month; changes include:

Joystick force feedback support.
Beginnings of Win64 support.
Many MSI fixes and cleanups.
Font linking support.
Several OLE fixes.
Lots of bug fixes.

I’ve been waiting for the promise of wine to be fulfilled and so far it hasn’t. I’d like to think I’m in the top .5% of PC users and I find wine very difficult to use and setup. For now reactOS is a much easier platform to work with. Of course, once Wine reaches .9 and beyond maybe that will all change.
