    Anyone know how to update the full purchased version
    to 1.02? I can’t spot any obvious patch download or
    anything on the web page…

    I unpacked this game as root; and now I can only run it as root.

    When a normal user starts it, I have:

    $ ./run.sh
    Executable already built! Starting the game…

    ****** USING: ALSA WITH DRIVER: VIA 82C686A/B rev20 ******

    Sound settings loaded from file. To alter settings in the future, delete SOUND.DAT and run the game.
    ERROR! Cannot load resource file.
    ERROR! Cannot open log file!

    It hangs when you want to start a new game…

    All you can see is a map, and it seems frozen.

    had to do ctrl + alt + F1 and kill it…

    Terrific game that offers a wide range of difficulty in levels, is a ton of fun to play, and has high-quality sound and gfx to boot. Bought it as soon as I’d played it.

    I can only comment on the Windows version at the moment, however, as that’s where most of my games get installed (and that’s what I was using at the time I discovered this one).
