I’ve been meaning to mention this for some time now (sorry ‘goose): Freyja is a 3D modeling utility (screenshots) whichfeatures polymesh and animation editing, as well as support for several modelformats via plugins. Instructions for downloading the current source tree orbinary snapshots can be found here.

It runs in linux/windows/os x. So you *can run it under transgaming wine!

Looks like it’ll be a great Milkshape alternative (one of the biggest things I wanted in Linux that’s only for Windows).
