VDrift, a cross-platform, open source driving simulator has been updated to a new release. Bugs and new features in this release include:

• Rewritten and improved tire friction code
• New font
• New timer graphics
• Digital speed display
• Many improvements in car handling and other vehicle properties
• ./configure now defaults to OpenAL, FMOD can be enabled using ./configure –with-fmod
