FreeCol 0.4.0
Version 0.4.0 of FreeCol (screenshots), an open source Colonization clone, is now available. This build is focused on the improvement of AI and the addition of features that allow the player to interact with natives. Other changes include making the game compatible with J2SE 5.0 and the usual bugfixes.

Will there be a usable version anytime soon, or just the java one?

This is a great game, I am glad to see many more Java games comming out. Java is ram hungry but is quite efficient now. (thanks C#?) I played this game for 5 hours, it felt so real to kill the Indians after I was powerfull enough to from what they gave me as gifts… (a sad part of US history)
