Hello, I'm the developer. Thanks for the detailed feedback, this hasn't seen any widespread testing yet, and as you all noticed, the documentation is non-existant, besides what's on the homepage (vdrift.sourceforge.net).

These extensions:
GL_NV_register_combiners: NO
GL_NV_texture_shader: NO
are not required or used anywhere in the code. I'll remove them from the list of required extensions.

As for the problems people are having with automake, I'm using the automatically generated build files from Anjuta 1.2.2, and perhaps I should just create normal Makefiles, if it's causing problems.

To the guy reporting the error in Three_Vector.h, try putting:
#include
at the top of the file. I'll also make sure that's in the next version.

$ ./vdrift
0 joystick(s) found:
Multitexture units (3 are required for all effects): 4
Your GPU meets the texture unit requirements.

Note to user: All error messages will be put in the "logs" folder.
Fatal signal: Segmentation Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed)

where is this mythical 'logs' folder? (and btw, they're called 'directories' not 'folders'. stop being an ms-infected tool. :)

actually linking some script directly to /usr/share/automake-1.9/* has the hassle included, that ppl like me, who have another version of automake (1.7 in my case), have to exchange the appropriate links to the correct ones ...
nevertheless it does not even write a correct config file, may be just because of this difference
its nice to see, that ppl are trying to make something usable with autoconf etc, but please - before you do not know completely what you are doing, please resist in using it and write just simple makefiles everybody is able to understand

i have to figure out, how to compile your package by myself now ... may be i manage it, may be not, you will read it
