Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory 2.60
March 21st, 2005 by Crusaderid Software has announced the release of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory version 2.60 (Linux FAQ); ET is a free, stand-alone multiplayer game set during WWII. It’s noted that the ETPro mod team was of considerable help in putting this build together; changes include:
- minor optimizations in server and client engine for lower cpu usage
- demo recording and playing fixes. sound recording
- server can redirect clients to other servers when full
- mods menu
- anisotropic texture filtering is now supported in renderer
- fixed http download crashes
- various server engine crashes fixed
- fixed Antilag (it was dependent on client fps, and headshots weren’t delagged)
- upped the number of servers in the browser

The Zerowing-tracker has a file called “Wolfenstein Enemy Territory 2.60.dmg”.[br] Isn’t this a Mac OS X disk-image?[br] I didn’t think it would be released for OS X.

There is a permission bug in the OSX setup which would prevent most users to get the game running. I have pulled out the file until we get another one done.

this is one of my all time favorit games! nice with a new update. And for those of you that dont play .. check this out! a very good online fps game

Don’t upgrade until your favourite servers do – this version does NOT work with the 2.56 version.
