Doom 3 Last Man Standing Beta 0.2
February 15th, 2005 by Crusadercalimer sent in word that his team has released Beta 0.2 of their DOOM 3 cooperative multiplayer modification, Last Man Standing:
Well here it is, our Beta 0.2 with content new including a bunch of new maps, and most importantly, Coop! Not only do we have our gameplay modes in there, but you can also play the Doom 3 SP levels though we don’t officially support it. As a note, we really tried to bring back the feel of Doom 1&2 in our mod, we hope we were able to accomplish this.
calimer also notes that they’d appreciate admins running servers for the mod.

this actually performs rather nicely. the levels are rather deliberately low on detail, to make way for the excessive amount of creatures on screen, but the game runs pretty well, smoothly, although it has some interesting visual effects.
notably, the creatures finish their last animation when they’re killed, so they fade out, but still run someplace, or in the case of an imp, still throw the pesky fireball :)
