icculus .plans

February 14th, 2005 by Crusader

Ryan “icculus” Gordon has updated his.planon hisUnrealEngine3and OpenAL work, as well as a fewspecific games:

Feeding Frenzy:
Now shipping for MacOSX: http://www.gamehouse.com/feedingfrenzy/

I’m taking an informal poll; if you are a Linux user that has access to aWindows or Mac system to try the free demo, I’d be curious to know:
     a) would you pay for a Linux version of this game and
     b) how much would you be willing to pay

Just curious what Linux gamers think of the casual game market, if anything.

[...]

Unreal Tournament 2003:
One more Linux build on its way, then I’m taking this out of my .plan, honest.

Unreal Tournament 2004:
Another patch coming soon for all platforms.

[...]

America’s Army:
ArmyOps 2.3.0 is marching onward.

The release of Postal2 (mentioned herepreviously)is also pointed out.

Where do we respond? Right off the game doesn’t look like something I’d get for myself. It doesn’t appear to be my style and I don’t have a machine I could test it on. On the other hand, the comments on the site said that young kids liked it, and my son just might.

There’s nothing new about UnrealEngine 3. What’s there now has been there for months.

Cute game, although not something I’m likely to play for longer than, say, 10 minutes at a time. As mentioned by another poster, probably would buy it for my kid.

I like this game. It might not be the perfect game to spend a whole weekend playing, but it is perfect for a 10-minute stress-reliever. No blood in sight, and it is nice to look at. I vote for the Linux game, and I would even buy it. But I guess that an answer should be mailed to Ryan himself.

    I’ll do it right away…
