Alpha Centauri PBEM?

A Slashdot article on Play By E-Mail gaming reminded me of Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri, which was ported by the now defunct Loki Software to Linux years ago. I still play SMAC PBEM games semi-regularly, so I’ve posted a thread in our forums to gauge interest among LG regulars in getting a game started. Feel free to post in the thread to discuss game rules, setup (factions, etc.), and teams.

I love the game, but I suck at it too much to want to play against humans. That’s it, really.

Along the lines of old Loki ports:

I’ve continued to play Civ for quite a while. I tried Alpha Centuri, but went back to Civ.

I might be interested in a Civ game..
