I remember back in the day when wine was a new product/idea and people thought it was so cool that something like this was going to be developed as open source software. But now it seems to be luke-warm.

What do you think pisses people off the most about WINE. Is it that it potentially takes away native applications from linux? Or is it really that people feel betrayed by the idea that the payware versions of WINE seem to get the most attention and contribution, whether that is truly the case or not?

discuss. :)
