I really can’t see it happening. Maybe they’ll release a command line server, which would be releasonably easy to port from Windows. But a full port from Windows to Linux! Until the Linux game industry gets larger I can’t see Lucas developing for Linux. It’s the old chicken and the egg problem. Unless it gets big they won’t develop for it and it won’t get big unless anyone develops for it.

What does everyone think of the state of linux gaming? Is is still just treading water, or is it starting to become a viable market? Do you think we will continue to see market acceptance, or will faith as a desktop OS for linux fade? I am not sure myself, but I do think that linux needs to be used in schools along side windows. Therefore children would be more apt to choose on preference, instead of familiarity.
