I was kind of confused at first because I was using an older version of wine that needed the “–” option to enable command line arguments and this version kept running in direct3d mode. It appears that this one does not use the “–” and you can just do a “wine war3.exe -opengl”. Frozen Throne actually installs with this release and applies the patch cleanly too. I’m glad they fixed these things.
