One hell of an update. Can’t wait to get rid of this damn ATi card. :)

For the last few releases of the driver my monitor looses sync if I swith to a text-mode VC when in X. Anyone else see this?

And ATi wonders why so many Linux users feel like second-class citizens with their cards. NVidia provides an ubser control panel, great driver support and a top notch OpenGL implementation. I curse every day I ever bought my 9800 Pro (just about).

The version before (5336) didn’t worked in my machine, nice to see that the support is back!

The Control Panel (nvidia-settings) is also very cool! Thx! :)

When I run glxgears I get the following error message:

Xlib: extension “XFree86-DRI” missing on display “:0.0″.

but the glxgears, quake3 and nwn all works fine, so I’m not sure why I get that message.
