Despite the recentdemiseof Sierra Entertainment (although thereal original Sierra On-Line that developed the adventure games in question was renamed to Yosemite Entertainmentand died in 1999), the FreeSCI projectcontinues to progress. A new site design for the adventure game interpreter is up, and a gameselection menu will be added:
As announced in the previous news item, FreeSCI now has a game selectionscreen. However, it should be pointed out that the game selection screen isonly available for Glutton (the unstable/experimental) branch at this time; itwill become part of the stable CVS tree shortly.
The Quest for Glory games were among the first PC titles I ever played, so I’mgratified to see the developers continuing to expand FreeSCI’s feature set :)

Same here, Hero’s Quest: So You Want To Be A Hero, came with our Tandy TL/2. I honestly wonder if I’d be working in IT today if it weren’t for that game. Really got me addicted to computers.

Just to point out to fans of Quest for Glory that AGDI should release soon (maybe not that soon :( ), Quest for Glory II with VGA graphics, speech, mouse’n click interface… and of course… it will work on linux, since AGS is ported to Linux. :)
