Freshmeat pointed out that thefollowing game projects were updated recently:
- EDGE version1.28 (
download),a DOOM engine source port. - Yabause version 0.0.4 (
download), a SegaSaturn emulator in the early stages of development. Gem Hunters version 20040529 ( download),a gem-based puzzle game. tksolversion 1.8.1 ( download),a Tcl/Tk-based solitaire game.
Slashdot had a few gaming-related articlesof note:

articlenoting the release of a Linux-based bootable QuakeWorld CD: QWCD - A
discussionabout developing games with OpenAL, theopen source audio library. - For those that play Flash-based games, notice that
Flash 7 wasreleased forLinux. - Finally, a
blurbmentioning that Raven’s Quake IV will not befeatured at this year’s QuakeCon. - A

Oh yeah, the most recent issue of EB’s GMR print magazine had an interviewwith Chris Vrenna concerning the DOOM III score, which I believe is the firstconfirmation that he worked on the upcoming first-person shooter’s music.
