Battle for Wesnoth 0.7 (stable) Now Available
March 21st, 2004 by jvmWe’ve received word that Battle for Wesnoth has reached the long-awaited version 0.7, a release that is considered stable. Battle for Wesnoth is a Free Software turn-based strategy game with a fantasy theme. In addition to the GNU/Linux port, it has been ported to MacOS X, BeOS, Solaris, FreeBSD, and something called “Windows”. The changelog lists the following updates:
- New sounds, unit images, and attack icons have been added
- Unit descriptions for recently added units have been polished
- The old tutorial strings have been removed
- The Lieutenant to General advancement path has been fixed
- Multiplayer out of sync bugs have been fixed
- Swedish translation has been fixed

I really like this game, but I invested heavly in calvery in the beginning and almost no other class. Later in the game I did not have a ballanced team so I was getting slapped around and now I need to start over. I am new to this type of game, but it is so much fun I look forward to starting over when I have time.
