I’m getting ready to host a LAN party and most of my friends want to play CounterStrike. So I figure now is the time to get WineX 3.3 for the simple fact I can play that and WarCraft 3 with my friends.

WineX is the death of Linux gaming. They are a bunch of sell-outs, using code from the WINE project and not giving back nearly enough. The WINE project itself is a bad thing for Linux gaming. None of my favorite games work in WineX so it is crap anyway. My friend once used WineX and his car broke down the next day and his cat developed a terrible skin condition. Later his milk went bad prematurely, but that might have just been because he couldn’t read the date on the side. WineX ate my balls.

This post is intended as humor, although many will mistake it for a real flame or sincere criticism. If you’re taking it seriously, then it’s time to lighten up. Thanks.

what is up with them doing all this stuff for Mac OSX ? Wasn’t their promise to get games on linux ? First spyhunter, now these :

I had a subscription until the announced spyhunter for OSX only! That and all the other lies. anyone remember how when they started up, they were just going do to subscriptions for a couple months until the got enought users, then they were going to open everything up !?! Transgaming is full of lies and is death to gaming.

If you don’t like WineX – simply don’t use it! But please, stop f**king around with that stupid flame against WineX.

…And best regards for WineX developers.

Hi! I tried playing Warcraft 3 using WineX (3.2, 3.3, CVS) on my machine with an ATI Radeon 9200SE (ATI drivers 3.7.0). It starts but runs extremely slow at about 1fps. Does anyone have a hint for me how to improve the situation? The game runs perfectly on my Notebook with an Radeon 7500, but just as fast as such old hardware does permit.
