Hi guys,

Reading the license, it says you may not use the Xfree86 name to advertise derivitive works without permission. This is the inverse of the BSD advertising clause.

I'm confused ;-)

Yes, the truth will set you free:

XDirectFB is a replacment for XFree86.

XDirectFB is licensed on the GPL.

XDirectFB is higher-performing, more efficient, and offers greater security than XFree86's monolithic design.

XDirectFB is a module/sub-project derived from thee DirectFB project, homepage http://www.directfb.org.

Switch now or forever hold the peices of whatever is left of your cracked (XFree86) X Server.

With their constant trolling, inter-fighting, and license fear mongering, they should feel special if they can gain 1% of the desktop market.

Linux, as it seems, will always remain for geeks and losers alike.
