I've been reading you guys for years now, and I really appreciate your support for what is admittedly a small scene, still.

I don't know what sort of help you are hoping to solicit, but I certainly wouldn't be adverse to throwing some dollars in the kitty if you need help covering expenses.

There's a lot that could be done, the problem is the scale of the project, and the amount of time that anyone could devote. I always check this site first to learn what's newly released for Linux, the problem though is that that is usually nothing more than updates for crap like Freelords (looks horrible) or Foo Billards (plays horrible).

The Linux community needs a site on the scale of the old HappyPuppys, GameSpots, etc ... with news, reviews, screenshots, and file downloads.

My only complaint is that after I look at the main page to find out what's new today, there is nothing else to do on the site ... which takes about 30 seconds.

I'd start by adding a phpBB2 forum and removing this one, and then redesign the site to be more friendly to people who don't browse the Web with their browser window at 1024x768 or greater - 800x600 should really be enough.

I'd like to see something along the lines of [game]Planet, with subsections for the "must have" games that have enough Linux files to justify dedicated pages.

Bottom line, Linux game information is too dispersed across the Web. Someone needs to mine Google and pull this stuff together into a useful portal.

Sorry if this isn't any help, but really I think this site needs to be more than just a games database. There should be reviews of Linux-gaming specific hardware releases like joypads and graphics cards, reviews of games with plenty of screenshots (sorry happypenguin, sometimes user-posted reviews just aren't professional enough) and perhaps some competitions.

Let HappyPenguin take care of what is now its forte (game releases and updates), and do something different.

a) less political (ie don't editorialize - just post the facts)
b) get a proper forum. not this shit that doesn't even thread properly and doesn't fit on a standard 800x600 browser window. (no, I don't maximize windows on my laptop).
