This game is very playable, as I still have the demo on my computer from a while back. It’s only $17.88 including shipping within the UK, that makes it £10.57. Not a lot. Stop moaning and buy it. BTW what’s up with the US dollar? It’s sinking. £1=$1.69, EURO1=$1.17 :s

This game had a Linux version released by Pyrogon sevral months ago. I downloaded the beta, tried it, liked it, and then erased it vowing to only buy it if Tuxgames offered it (yes I preordered). So why did it take so long for LGP to release it? Why was there a beta for LGP after Pyrogon released the Linux version. I’m not a game developer (heck I couldn’t program my way out of a paper bag) but it seems to me if there was already a Linux version released it should have been a relatively simple matter to get it on cd.

dude, DOH! is a UK company… so the US company that made the game, make other boxes and all that for other countries including the UK … yes they speak English yet, is not the same thing. SO.. it will not be shiped the same they you see the box on CompUSA …

now, if you don’t even know where is UK to begin with … geez what a tards.

Too bad TuxGames forgets all the other free MJ games[1] out there, linux or otherwise. Unfortunately, we westerners aren’t going to pay for mahjong game unless it is strip mahjong[2] such as Super Real Mahjong for Neo Geo or Suchie-Pai from MyHarvest.

BTW, for those into strip mahjong, don’t get the censored Hirameki Suchi-Pai dub!

Why port this game? Its a waste of time. Why not get involved porting an upcoming release of a REAL game. Now we have another Mahjong game. Oh yay.

Maybe if you pre-order from Tux games, you’ll get the game in 6 months. After the Savage debacle I had with them. I’m sticking with EB. At least with EB they keep you up to date when things go wrong.

NingPo is one of the better MahJong games that I’ve played. It’s a nice way to kill time every once in a while.
