PR: New Savage Beta

S2 Games and iGames Publishing sent out a press release announcing a new Savage beta. This will be a free “major content update” to the game. If you’re interested, you need to sign up.

    When is tuxgames going to start re-releasing copies of the game? Does anyone know?

    great stuff!, tuxgames just delivered my copy of savage today, its installing now! shouldn’t the link path in the installer be /usr/local/bin by default? Ooops.
    Great work S2, i will probably email and thank the developers.

    Just as a note, I was interested but I couldn’t get the demo to run. It whined about my glibc version IIRC.

    about 1 in 10 spawns , you just start to spin in place , and you can’t stop. You have to restart the game to get rid of the problem.

    There is no way I’m buying the game until they ship a version where this doesn’t happen.

    So how is the current status with ATI cards?
    I got a 9500, the games runs fine with fast framerates and only minor graphicbugs… And then crashes when I have played for about a minute.
    This is with the newest official drivers from ATI 3.2.8.

    If your still watching sloty does the new patch fix the bug where it takes like 5 min for savage to exit, unless you turn off sound, which isn’t really viable?

    well i have to say, i feel let down by this game, after it sounded so good on paper.

    the guns just suck, the animations on the guns in Quake2 are better than in Savage. I hope this new beta sorts it out. I know this is only a small part of the game, but i can run around fields in real life, what i can’t do in real life is run around fields with cool guns.

    what a shame :(
