TuxGames Back Online
As many of you have been noticing, the TuxGames site has been a bit flakey lately. Mr. Simms let us know that their new Internet connection has been configured and everything’s back up for good now.

Yeah I had noticed. But I’ve just cancelled my BTOpenworld account and opened one with Freeserve (UK) and I think I’ve gone from bad to worse anyway :s
People, if you EVER have to talk to outsourced call centres in India expect to talk to staff who don’t know wtf they are doing. Get yourself some tranquilisers and forget about it. It’s the future :s

Glad to see them back up. And in regards to outsourcing to India, I have to agree. It’s an epidemic. Modern slavery turning businesses into ineffectual institutions.
I’m running out of people to buy workstations and servers from because of this. Dell, IBM, HP, et. al have outsourced all tech to India. I’m happy for India, but it sucks if you actually want service. I’m looking at local vendors now because of this crapstorm. Maybe it’s a good thing in the long run. More competition from the little guys.

So the tech support from India doesn’t know what it’s talking about, is this a big change from the old tech support that was based in the U.S.?
