thank you SO MUCH LGP for helping bring native games to linux..its been a looooong time coming but it feels grrrrrrreat…I might not make the beta ( see previous posts ) but mabye I can scrap together some pocket change and get in that way… …I did it for savage and mabye I can do it here but regardless its exciting to be using linux all these years and see games finally get to our stage ;)

btw I was in the savage best test even though yes it took getting the presales one to do it..which is fine I know money talks..but gez four times? ;-)

anyway its just disapointing not knowing WHY one is rejected when beta testing I imagine should be letting in most all users that apply unless ..the standard letter they send isn’t very informative really so it would be nice ‘knowing’ the real reason so I can avoid wasting my time if i’m just never going to get in…i’ll buy their games thats a non issue because I support native games..but this isn’t right ;)

I have a perfectly NEW fast PIV2.26Ghz geforce4TI4200 system..I hang alot in #gametome and many other IRC circles…i’m a bigtime gamer and actually developing my own game..and I’ve been rejected FOUR TIMES in a row..what-is-the-point….i’d like to HELP beta test too…but this is ridiculous and I’ll never appply for another beta if this is their plan..what a waste of my time!!

but it says something about a PostgreSQL server error. Anybody else have similar problems?

I had been rejected for Mah jong and Hyperspace delivery boy, even though I had been on the original beta testing for both games (pre LGP). Plus I was also rejected for Majesty and Soul Ride, but I did get in on Ballistics. I would guess that persistence helps, plus buying their games in the past does not hurt. I also have multiple systems to test on, which could be a bonus. I would suggest to keep on trying, and if you really want to get on the beta team, buy the game. I would guess that it would help you for future offerings.

Does anyone know what it actually takes to get accepted in an LGP beta test? I’ve seen the same few people get accepted every single time.
