Battlemech 1.1

Oh no, I don’t think so. I’m never touching QuakeC again. I did my time programming in a “language” with no arrays. I’m not doing it again.

The game is quite playable and plays difreent then Quake. I can tell it uses the Quake engine from the visuals, guess I played Quake too much back in the day. Eye candy isn’t everything though, and I like how this game plays. I would think that the Quake engine would be running into limitations by now and Crystal Space (crystal.sf.net) would have make a better choice (you would get arrays! :-), but I am sure there are reasons.
Anyhow, still a good game (my opinion) and I recommend people try it.
BTW, the link to ‘Additional files (req)’ is a like to the files required for Windows play (.dll and .exe) and I didn’t use it and still played.

I’ve downloaded it and is quite playable. It’s a very different Quake mod. It’s Linux compatibility is great.
I wonder when the Dedicated servers start going up….
