BlackHoleSun, makers of Krilo and Bunnies, have recently updated their Website for the first time since 2001 with a new look and anannouncemnt that they are working on a new game, Aftermath. There aren’t many details onwhat kind of game it will be, but the basic premise is that much of humanity has been obliterated and you, being one of the survivors, are to race to dominate the new planet. A beta tester application is available, but there’s nomention of when the test might begin.

I hope it’s a vehicle shooter a la Twisted Metal. I have been missing that game ever since my playstation broke.

I have both Krilo and Bunnies. Bunnies has the best music. That game makes me laugh and laugh.
I sure hope they learned their lesson with linking, though. Both of these games call for libraries which are obsolute on my Mandrake system. With some insane hacking to my libpng setup I can get Bunnies to work, but it’s not so stable anymore.
For the love of gawd, BHS, please link your new games to be more independent! Patches for the existing games would be nice to. ;)
That being said, they’re games are reasonably priced and a lot of fun. It’s very difficult to resist the boogy while playin’ Bunnies! Kick butt.

I wanted to buy this game for my son, but this game does not work on my system (Demo)
This game is only for Mandrake users, that is very sad since few Mandrake users buy native games…

Black Hole Sun had screenshots and some details for a vehicle based shooter game on their website about 3 years ago, but they were not updated for a while, and then the website changed. This could well be the re-starting of this project. The screenshots looked somewhat like Interstate 76, which was a great game. I would love to be able to play a game of that style on Linux.
