For some reason I keep going back to the demo and playing it online, Its pretty fun and runs well on my fairly old hardware.

If I keep this up Im gonna wind up buying it.

You know what the torque engine is preyy cool - i recon someone should try do a myth2 style multiplayer game with this engine - myth2 mutliplayer was one of the best games ever, and was kinda unique. The landscape in thinktanks reminds me of some of the levels from myth2. I recon it would make a great engine for a game like this - there was also a good ww2 mod for myth2 - a game like it would also work well on the torque engine.

Think 2 squads, playing on a thinktanks level, with the players about 2 thirds the size of the current tanks, and fairly slow moving with weapons of different ranges and perhaps vehicles like jeeps, and maybe bunkers and mines and barbed wire etc. and morters!

or fantasy like myth2

actually im gonna buy thinktanks - because:

1 its pretty good in its own right
2 it will encourage more torque engine games, and perhaps someone will do a myth2 style one!

it looks like the bug that used to crash galeon when i visited linuxgames in mandrake 9.0 is fixed in rh9 :)

Think Tanks is a really great game when you want to just take a break for an hour. It's a no brainer to play yet it's challenging and fun. The online Scrum games can be hilariously fun when everyone is huddled around the scrum goal fighting over the ball.

Think Tanks hasn't replaced any of my other mmo games; but it is a great complement that I can use to take a quick/fun break from the sometimes intense and exhausting sessions that other games can provide.

I really liked this game. No one can blame them for adding an advertisement to the demo.

Intel 815 chipset. Works fine, except for one small texturing bug which I've seen in other (non-GG) games.

This is a fun game and for $15 it's better than a lot of Windows games for $50. Thank's GG, keep up the good work!

I know it was mentioned one time that there had been a (beta) patch for JA2 for Linux. I recently bought a copy, and was hoping someone could point me towards the patch.

Mathieu, would you care to enlighten me? Also, what's the current status of Tribsoft, dead or comatose?

I don't really like it, if it were what I initially thought it was (a 3d version of artillery) then I'd probably have been thrilled, but this, I just dont like it.

I want to try to improve the game's support for non-NVIDIA/ATI based video cards. If you have a card that doesn't render the game properly (or crashes when you load a level etc), please send me email and I will try to work with you to fix it.

This also applies to Orbz and Marble Blast.

Some of you need to chill out!
Come on its not as if you just paid £60 for the game, its only $15, and for the price, its a great little fun game,
even if the aiming is a bit weird, I bought it (like all GG other Linux games, they are all meant as quick fun, not a real indepth games)

If all the trolls on LG put their brains together and release a game, I'm sure it would be great!, we could then roast it, without playing it ;)
