I’ve had a kernel panic twice playing the full game, with the following message:
Apr 25 17:02:21 greatland kernel: CPU 0: Machine Check Exception: 0000000000000004
Apr 25 17:02:21 greatland kernel: Bank 2: f60020000000017a at 000000000a484000
Apr 25 17:02:21 greatland kernel: Kernel panic: CPU context corrupt
This with the 1.0-4349 NVidia driver on 2.4.21-pre6 with a Ti 4200 128meg.

What sort of hardware are people running this on? On my Athlon 600 192MB ram and a matox G400 Max, the game is unplayably slow, even at the absolute lowest settings. Software-wise, I’m running Mandrake 9.1 using Xfree 4.3 w/ hardware accel. I’m wondering if its even taking advantage of my video card to accelerate this or if everything is being done by my CPU. Anyone else with these probs?

Even if it’s a bit mindless imho.

This is a very nice game. It’s only £13 or 20EUR/USD and well worth it. It’s the sort of game girls will enjoy too, except I don’t know any :D hehe
I just played through the 5 free levels in approximately 30 minutes.
Tip: when you download the demo go to GamersHell, not FilePlanet. GamersHell has about 5 different download sites and you can just click to download. With FilePlanet you have to login and then they offer you to download from some dodgy 386 via 56k link sometime in the evening while spamming your eyes with offers of bandwidth rental to download somebody elses game. Ok so DON’T go to FilePlanet, it’s the McDonalds of download sites.

The graphics are really nice to look at.The game is easy to pick up and play, and the multi-player add’s alot of replay value to the game. It’s well worth the money.
Also I would also recommend the marble blast game.As it really is alot of fun too.

on a P3-700 + Geforce4mx PCI (no AGP slot in damn i810 board) w/latest NV drivers it crashed when I went for the powerup box, had to restart X to get mouse back (xvidtune unlocked the screen res, but not the mouse)
Also had to drop the res to 800×600 for reasonable perf on my silly machine.
