Tell him to check the linux q3 point 32 patch, It didnt install on my mdk9.1. I had to decompress it, recompile setup from icculus cvs and replace setup binary in the patch with it, in order to patch my new quake3 installation.

I know it is a test, but mine seems to be crashing "all" the time. You never get more than 15 min - 30 tops, before the whole thing freezes and yiou have to go out and kill it. Might be my drivers that are buggy, but it doesn't work. Had the same problem with UT sometimes, but not as frequent.. I'll wait for the full one.

I own Wolfenstein and used to play it regularly, but since my upgrade to a new version of Slackware, I've not reinstalled the game. The Punkbuster client wanked out on me after an upgrade to the latest binaries, and was kinda a pain to resolve. I think I had to manually update that crappy PB client or something. I'm not looking forward to doing it again.

Does this game require an installation of Wolfenstein, or will it run stand-alone?

...that the final, non-test, version of ET will still be a free, full-featured, download that will not require the original RTCW to play.

They all require some form of registration, be it per user or download their client software, or give them cash.

Hey, I know everyone needs money, but they aren't the only ones that need money. Anyone able to mirror the linux file upto a Gnutella, Kazaa, or eDonkey server? That would be nice...my system isn't upline; it's in peices, and I would host the file on my DSL but I already told you what my system is doing...sitting in peices.
